This is what differentiates the process used for cabochon cut stones that are incorporated in some gemstone pendants. The reason many people choose tumbled gemstone pendants instead of standard gemstone pendants is because the tumbling process often delivers irregularly-shaped and dramatic pieces of gemstones. A simple comparison can be made with the unusually-shaped stones, found along river banks or beaches which are the result of the natural action of water and sand over a period of time.

The desire to be different is an accepted aspect of human nature, and this desire evolves from the fact that different people have different preferences in the gemstone pendants they choose. So, what may be beautiful to some may not be so, for others. This is precisely why some people may go in for standard gemstone pendants while others may choose gemstone cabochon pendants, or tumbled gemstone pendants.
